Ministries

A Few Good Men and Women Ministry International is a non-denominational organization that focuses on "changing humanity by reaching their soul and making a profound impact on individuals lives through spiritual, emotional, educational and social support.

Needs are present in every society, but when they exceed the basic level, they elevate to poverty. The vice robs human beings of their most basic rights. food; shelter, clothing, medical care, water, education, and opportunity to work often results in a sense of powerlessness, hopelessness, and inequality. Women and children are the most affected. Touch a Soul (TAS) through the Women of Faith (WOF) believe that service to humanity is service to God and as such it’s the whole duty of man to ensure that human need leverage is kept at bay.

The Bible reveals God's special interest in the poor and His expectations as to how His followers should respond to those who are unable to care for themselves. All human beings bear the image of God and are the recipients of God's blessings and mercy (Luke 6:20).

Psalms 41:1-3 (NKJV) Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed

Proverbs 19:17 (Amplified bible) He who is gracious and lends a hand to the poor lends to the LORD, and the LORD will repay him for his good deed. Regarding the scripture, Touch a Soul advocates for reaching out to the less fortunate as a way of preaching by mobilizing resources at whatever capacity locally and globally and by connecting to global networks with people with the same theme. This calls for full participation in God’s calling for humanity in a broken and needy world.

Rev. 7:16 (NIV) Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat. As followers of Christ, we engage this task with determined hope, energized by God's visionary promise of a new heaven and a new earth where there is no poverty or injustice.

Women Ministry

Women are the majority of the poor in the world due to cultural norms, values and power dynamics between men and women. Indeed, women and girls bear an unequal burden of unpaid domestic responsibilities in most of the developing countries.

In this period of global economic depression characterized by a dramatic downturn in economic activity in conjunction with a sharp fall in growth, employment, and production, many young men have turned into zombies while the woman bears the responsibilities of feeding and taking care of the family.

When women are empowered, they can claim their rights and opportunities with enhanced and improved prospects. The Touch a Soul Ministry through the Women of Faith have endeavored to extend a hand of faith through financial and skill empowerment.

Encourage women to enter traditionally male occupations

The ministry aims to provide women with requisite skills and technical training as well as entrepreneurial or business programs.  According to the statistics, male-dominated sectors such as carpentry, masonry, mechanical, electrical, metal fabrication etc. regarded as male domination, women thrive better than men. In this, women require information and encouragement to venture into the arena.

Through the ministry, we have reached out to about 50 women in Korogocho and Dandora slums and Dandora dumpsites to have a better life through little financial support of about 50 dollars each. The women are encouraged are trained to start small merchandise like grocery, fruit selling, hot coffee selling, boiled eggs, sausages selling etc. where they make a living better compared to the vice.

We have endeavoured to touch a soul by;

  1. Providing shelter to orphans and street children
  2. Providing food, clothing and parental care to the rehabilitated children
  3. Providing primary, secondary and tertiary education to the children
  4. Providing training to the slums and dumpsite women
  5. Providing food to the hungry
  6. Providing business support to women
  7. Providing spiritual nourishment and encouragement.
